Ryan Kunde is a winemaker based in the Sonoma Valley north of San Francisco, and uses drones to monitor the grapes in his family’s vineyard. A Precision Hawk drone flies over the vineyard, taking aerial shots of the terrain to turn into hi-res maps of the area. Kunde is able to study the pictures to work out which parts of the vineyard are the most fertile, helping him plan where to harvest first.
