This harvest we celebrated our Best In Class award from the @sonomacountyharvestfair for our 2021 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. We are so grateful for the recognition but even more so to our team, family, and friends for their unwavering support and positivity that keeps us fueled. It was a festive night that ended with many growers headed out to prepare for their picks and the winemakers back to their bins and tanks! The amount of care and labor that goes into making each bottle of wine is astounding and worth celebrating!!

A cool foggy morning sampling grapes from Morning Sun Vineyard in Bennett Valley. Our Pinot Gris ‘Orange Wine’ comes from this vineyard, located at the northern gateway of Sonoma Valley. We’ll press the 🍇 after 72 hours of whole cluster skin contact, and then age the🍷in neutral French oak and amphora. The result is a beautiful and entrancing wine with notes of caramel and orange peel culminating in a steely finish.

Diving deep into the soil and community with fellow winemakers and @riggslokka at Hallberg Vineyard. One of many reasons this Pinot Noir vineyard is so special is that it’s dry farmed, a sustainable practice that not only conserves water but extends the life span of the vine and contributes to the strong concentration of flavor. The roots can extend up to 20 feet deep into the ground to access water held by the soil.
