Description
Connell Bennett Bench Vineyard is situated on an eastern-facing slope, below a western ridge that breaks incoming wind from the coast and sits above the eastern valley that wraps down and around Sonoma Mountain to the southeast.
A dark, clear, purple-blackberry to dark bing cherry red color. Aromas of mint, red bean, and roasted meats give way to semi-sweet chocolate, tobacco, and blackcurrant fruits. Nicely ripened tannins lend this wine plenty of volume while being well-balanced and elegant. Flavors of rose, coconut, and beef jerky linger on a long finish. Drink now through 2023.
