Adventurous selection of inspired plantings in Sonoma County
Wildwood Vineyards in Glen Ellen was first established by pioneers James Shaw and John Drummond in 1879 and provided novel clippings from top producers in France. In 1904 it was purchased by the Kunde family, who still owns and manages the vineyards today. Wildwood Vineyards is home to 19 different varieties planted across 98 individual blocks. Each block averages just over 6 acres with soil types ranging from alluvial gravels in the valley floor at 380 feet, up to volcanic clays and rocky mountain side soils at 1,100 feet in the Mayacama Mountains.

Hallberg Vineyard is located atop the Eastern border of the Goldridge benchlands and just 75 feet off the valley floor of the Green Valley sub appellation. These light sandy loam soils are able to reflect sunshine under the canopy after the cool morning fog burns off, allowing the fruit to develop great color and flavor.
